The African coffee region encompasses some of the world’s most celebrated origins, including Kenya, Ethiopia, Tanzania, Rwanda, Burundi, and Uganda. Coffees from this vast and diverse continent are renowned for their unique complexity, offering sweet, fruity flavours and delicate floral aromas that set them apart from every other growing region.
African coffees often display bright acidity, layered sweetness, and expressive aromatics — qualities shaped by high altitudes, rich soils, and generations of skilled cultivation.
Legend has it that coffee was first discovered in Ethiopia, when a shepherd noticed his goats becoming unusually energetic after eating the red berries of a wild coffee bush. Whether myth or history, Africa’s deep connection to coffee is undeniable.
This single‑origin profile captures the continent’s signature character: vibrant, aromatic, and beautifully complex.
